QUALITY & CAMO

GVHL is approved by the aviation authority of India (DGCA) to undertake maintenance activities of Bell 412 and Leonardo AW139 and AW169 helicopters under the provisions of CAR 145. GVHL is also approved under provisions of CAR M, Subpart G, to undertake the Continuing Airworthiness Management activities of six types of Helicopters, namely Bell 412, Leonardo AW 139, Leonardo AW169, Airbus EC 135P2+, Airbus AS 350B3/B3e and Airbus EC130T2.

Apart from Regulatory approvals, GVHL also holds certification for Quality Management System Standard-ISO 9001:2015, for the provision of Air Logistics Services (helicopter services to offshore and onshore destinations, including support services) issued by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The Key tasks of the Quality Department include, but not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring best maintenance practices and compliance to the laid down procedures by conducting Internal Audits in accordance to the Annual Audit Program
  • Facilitate external audits conducted by Regulator / Customers / 3rd Parties
  • Preparation, analysis and reporting on a range of Engineering Statistical Data
  • Monitoring premature failure of components
  • Maintain records of deferred maintenance / aircraft release under MEL
  • Manage licences and authorisations of all certifying and support staff
  • Ensure that all technical staff undergo the requisite training (initial/refresher) as and when required
  • Ensure overall supervision of all the activities of the CAR 145 and CAR M departments

GVHL maintains a detailed Audit Program to ensure that Airworthiness, Compliance and Safety Standards are of the highest order. The audit team comprises of appropriately qualified and experienced (IATA trained) staff from various departments, to ensure best standards across all departments.

The CAMO Department monitors all operational activities to ensure that the Company remains in conformity with the applicable requirements of the regulatory authority and manufacturer’s guidelines. The CAMO Department also manages a range of key tasks, including but not limited to the following:

  • Development and monitoring of appropriate Maintenance Programs, Minimum Equipment Lists, Inspection Schedules and Procedure Sheets
  • Preparation and updating of all requisite documents pertaining to the aircraft
  • Ensure tracking of operational data and issuance of timely call outs for required maintenance activities
  • Ensure timely completion of all maintenance activities and the associated documentation
